We cannot control life; rather, we should let life control us.
We don’t know where we are coming from and where we are headed—which means that we don’t really know where we are and what this is all about. We are perplexed by this journey called life.
On top of everything else, we gradually realize that our journey will end in destruction. We will become dust on the earth we currently walk on. It’s no wonder that this journey feels unsafe.
This is such a fundamental question that any attempts at an answer tend to sound clichéd or create apprehension. Superficial answers and words of consolation seem hollow in the face of such archetypal distress.
We are deeply anchored in this physical reality, bound here by our senses. This is why we instinctively seek to find safety here.
But we cannot find it here. We must seek elsewhere, deeper, higher, behind everything.
In the mystery within. In the pale moon at which the finger points.
